Once we have that data, we work methodically with a range of tooling that enables us to get a view of your platforms. We split monitoring into four key segments. We look at the Human View – i.e. what a person sees when looking at an application or website, does it work correctly for them regardless of how well everything else is performing. We then look at the Application view, this gives us detailed diagnostic data about how well key applications are running (i.e. Web Servers/SQL Servers/Authentication Servers). We then look at the Network View, what does latency look like? Do DNS Resolutions work? Can I see the sites I should be able to see? Finally, we look at Compute Elements, are CPU/RAM Levels within tolerance, are all of my drives present, is anything full?
